Larcina Carrigngton-Wynn

Larcina Carrington Wynn is the President and founder of Carrington Financial Services, LLC.  Mrs. Wynn has been providing accounting/bookkeeping, income tax preparation services, administrative/back office support services for construction contractors and debt management counseling and workshops in the New Haven area for more than 15 years.

Mrs. Wynn is also the co-founder and Managing Partner of FBA, LLC; a business development firm that provides development services to small businesses, with a focus on construction contractors.

Mrs. Wynn has served as the Director of Operations for the New Haven Family Alliance, Inc. a New Haven based not-for-profit organization.  During Mrs. Wynn’s tenure at the NHFA her responsibilities have included managing a staff of 18 case managers, fiscal oversight for the agencies $2 million dollar budget, and oversight of the agencies internal operations policies and controls.  The State of Connecticut Department of Labor invited Mrs. Wynn to participate in statewide meetings and discussions to educate the local public on the impact of the 1996 Welfare Reform Act in the New Haven area.  She has been an invited speaker at conferences for the U.S. Department of Labor in Boston and New York to discuss the Connecticut Welfare Reform program.

In addition to her work at the New Haven Family Alliance, Inc.  She also worked as the Business Manager for the Hill Health Corporation’s Behavioral Health Division for six years.  Some of her responsibilities at the Hill Health Corporation included preparing/creating accounting systems and internal controls and managing up to $2.3 million in various grants and contracts. She also advised the Directors, Department Heads, and Board of Directors on the corporation’s fiscal matters and financial status on a regular basis.  Mrs. Wynn had been employed as an accountant/auditor for more than 10 years at People’s Bank and the Whitt Accounts Accounting Firm consecutively.

Mrs. Wynn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Accounting from the University of New Haven in 1985.  She is a certified tax preparer, trained by H&R Block.  She is currently pursuing certification as an Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent and is seeking a Certified Financial Planner license. Mrs. Wynn has served on various Boards of Directors throughout the City of New Haven, including the University of New Haven Alumni Board, Finance Committee, Urban League of Greater New Haven, and the United Way of New Haven, Grant Review Committee.  She was the campaign treasurer for a West Haven candidate for State Representative. Mrs. Wynn has also acted as campaign treasurer for two alderpersons in the City of New Haven and a candidate for town council in West Haven, CT.  Mrs. Wynn is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group class of 2004 – 2005.  Presently, Mrs. Wynn serves as the Treasurer for the Greater New Haven NAACP.  Carrington Financial Services, LLC is a member of the Greater New Haven Business and Professional Association and the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.  Mrs. Wynn and her husband, William, have 2 children and are lifelong residents of New Haven.
